Description

The Transcendental Meditation Technique: The Journey of Enlightenment takes readers on a spiritual adventure. Everyone can explore enlightenment at any time and any place. Not reserved for only rare individuals, anyone can participate in Transcendental Meditation (TM). Ann Purcell dispels the myth that enlightenment is difficult to achieve in this Transcendental Meditation book. Everyone, no matter who they are, can experience unbounded bliss. She writes about her experiences and encounters with TM practitioners worldwide. The Transcendental Meditation Technique: The Journey of Enlightenment gives readers insight into the technique.

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi proclaimed enlightenment to be, in fact, the most primitive, natural state of life. The Transcendental Meditation technique helps one think more actively and quietly. The innate ability to think more quietly lets your mind be completely still. That inner stillness and peace is a reality. Enlightenment can unify the world because it already exists within all of us. The inner calm is present at the most basic levels within us.

Ann Purcell debunks false assumptions in her Transcendental Meditation Technique book, The Journey of Enlightenment. She lays out the secrets in obtaining a transcending state of consciousness. Everyone can achieve personal fulfillment, spontaneity, inner peace, and balance. Enlightenment is not reserved to a select few but is accessible to all. No matter one’s race, religion, or socio-economic status, we all have unbounded bliss inside of us.

Transcendental Meditation Technique Editorial Reviews:

“Tender and Smart, Loving and Blissful and Profound” David Lynch, Film Director

“A beautiful synthesis of heart and mind, this book is written from the personal and truthful perspective of an individual who has absorbed the depth and breadth of Maharishi’s extraordinarily profound and practical knowledge. It reveals how growth toward enlightenment is expressed through tender, subjective experiences of the transcendent. It also shows how enlightenment may be understood from a completely objective scientific point of view as the progressive refinement and development of total neurophysiological functioning.” Dr. Keith Wallace Founding President and Trustee of the Maharishi University of Management, Dean of the College of Perfect Health and Professor of Physiology, and author of The NeuroPhysiology of Enlightenment

  1. CRR

Well written and enjoyable to read.
One of my favorite things about this book is the clarity with which abstract concepts are explained, i.e., the development of higher states of consciousness.

  2. JM

    Explaining TM for beginners
While reading “The Journey of Enlightenment” you are able to get a feel for the true meaning of enlightenment and bliss. This book does a great job expressing stories of how TM affects ones life and the theory behind the practice. This is the book to read for someone who is on the fence about learning TM.

Simple, straightforward, yet deep. I also do Transcendental Meditation and could relate to alot of it. The journey through this book is well worth the reader’s time. I loved every minute.

    New Must-Read from Ann Purcell
Ann has a clear and easy style. I loved “the secret beyond the secret”. This book is a must-read for anyone seeking answers to the age old questions: what am I doing here? How can I make the rough road smoother? Why does God sometimes seem to hate me?

  6. Harry P.

    Informative and Inspirational
Informative and inspirational. Written in an understandable language that is easy to understand.

  7. M.H.

I enjoyed reading The Transcendental Meditation Technique and The Journey to Enlightenment by Ann Purcell.
She does a great job explaining the unexplainable: like Maharishi says “How can you explain how a strawberry tastes like?” Ann takes you along with her into concepts like Bliss and God Consciousness with her candid personal stories and beautiful quotes from masters and poets. One of those books where I folded corners and highlighted most of it!

  8. Mary Stedman

I loved Ann Purcell’s book about Transcendental Meditation.
She is a very wise teacher, an old soul, and has been with the organization since 1973. It is a truth that if someone stays with a certain path they have learned the fine art of commitment…..Ann has that tenacious hold unto the teachings and the blessings of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. She inspired me to take the course by the time I finished reading. I am very happy that I did. There is information that IS INVALUABLE TO THE SEEKER in The Journey of Enlightenment. I highly recommend her book. It is most enjoyable.
