Description

“Reveal and heal” as you reflect and take in The Wonder of the Tao a book by James Eggert. The author explores the relationship between spirituality and nature. He draws on Western and Eastern religions’ teachings and traditions. Looking at spirituality and ecological balance, he infuses Taoism, Buddhism, Judaism, and Christianity into this work.

The first half of the book has a strong spirit and discusses the unforgivable natural losses due to environmental irresponsibility; how technology and the global economy continue to impact our planet. The second half of The Wonder of the Tao embraces hope in the form of balance and rebirth. James Eggert, an economic ecologist, then looks carefully at Taoism and modern science in reflection. Both have positively impacted our individual and communities’ health and wellness.

The Wonder of the Tao weaves an ecological web showing a unique and fragile planet that we somehow sustain. Through spirituality, James Eggert hopes for environmental responsibility. Finding harmony and balance within yourself will make you more conscious of your actions. You will look within yourself and examine how you treat the planet, personally reflecting to see where you stand on Mother Earth.

    Thoughtful
Jim’s thoughtful books, composed from the perspective of a professional economist, university teacher, and ardent environmentalist, has led me down new paths. His latest, The Wonder of the Tao, is a meditation on our place in nature, how we are wreaking havoc on our biosphere, and ways we can improve that relationship with reference to Eastern philosophy.
