Dr. Fritz Frederick Smith graduated from the College of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons in 1955 and the California College of Medicine in 1961. He also has bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the College of Chinese Medicine in the U.K. Dr. Smith is a Cranial Osteopath, a certified Rolfer, and a California Certified Acupuncturist. He formerly served as a senior faculty member and board member of the Traditional Acupuncture Institute in Columbia, MD, and was an approved examiner for the California Acupuncture Examination Board.
Most notably, in the 1970s, Dr. Smith founded the “Zero Balancing technique,” a body-mind, structural acupressure technique. He has been practicing and teaching “Zero Balancing” for over 40 years, using touch to connect energy to the body. Dr. Smith believes the body’s energy affects the mind and emotions, and the technique improves one’s well-being.
