Many Paths, One Truth: The Common Thread by Carol Addlestone takes notice of differing religious beliefs. Sometimes, animosity faces those who do not have the same theological values. Addlestone in this book compiles the common ethical and spiritual beliefs of eight major world religions. All have a belief system. The common thread emphasizes the universality of values in the religions she covers.
Addlestone gives readers excerpts from various sacred texts. She covers Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Judaism, Confucianism, Taoism, Zoroastrianism, and Buddhism. Many Paths, One Truth: The Common Thread addresses universal topics. Read about the eight primary religious views in this book. The belief systems look at Love, Faith, Courage, Justice, Duty, and Forgiveness differently.
If you’re a person of faith, you can see how your views differ from another’s. Many Paths, One Truth provides a unique look and overview into some of the larger religions of the world. The comparisons between the verses of differing theologies will have one thread. For anyone looking for a broad view or introduction to global religions, Many Paths will take you there.

Great Overview
This book is a perfect little intro and overview of some big religions. It was exactly what I was looking for to start a journey into the religious and spiritual study. I’d recommend it for anyone beginning study or contemplation of religions. It was a well-organized, easy to read, overview.
