EARLI stands for Expressive and Receptive Language Individualization. EARLI Program Volume 2 Lessons in Language Development by Lynne Mann facilitates expressive language in children. Volume 1 focuses on the efficient and appropriate use of verbal language. Children need to know words before moving into expressive language. As preschoolers grow and develop, they can communicate with gestures and signs. Motor skills accompany body language, and children can emphasize what they want to say.
This language development program has sequenced lessons to help children’s developmental skills. The tasks in EARLI Volume 2 are enjoyable and allow children to conceptualize and learn non-verbal communication as well. The entire EARLI program’s structure can be tailored to meet the individual or group needs of children.
The programs can be used together or separately based on students’ needs. The goal is to build or broaden language development skills. If you use it for children with developmental delays or to enrich skills, you will see both EARLI Programs are invaluable teaching tools. Volume 1 helps preschoolers with speech, and any impediments can be addressed. Issues recognized by teachers can be approached with early intervention. Professionals can help improve any of the delays some students may experience.
